1,Application Case: Fan Wake Measurement
When a fan extracts energy from the wind, a wake is created downwind of the fan, which is essentially a turbulent flow. The wake of the wind turbine is characterized by the decrease of wind speed and the increase of turbulence at the downwind of the wind turbine. Especially in large wind farms, the wake effect is more obvious.
